Reno, NV, October 20, 2026 —
Republican David Flippo and Democrat Teresa Benitez-Thompson have received support from prominent donors in Nevada’s 2nd Congressional District race. Flippo has received contributions from billionaires Richard Uihlein and Ross Perot Jr., while Benitez-Thompson has garnered support from Democratic megadonors Karla Jurvetson and Kat Taylor, who is the wife of billionaire Tom Steyer.
The donor support links candidates from the two major parties with different high-profile contributors. The information provided does not specify how much any of the donors contributed, when the contributions were made, or whether the support took another form. It also does not identify the campaign finance records or reporting period behind the information.
For Benitez-Thompson, the summary identifies Jurvetson and Taylor as supporters. It describes Taylor as Steyer’s wife but does not say that Steyer contributed to Benitez-Thompson. For Flippo, it names Uihlein and Perot Jr. as contributors, without providing further details about their donations or involvement.
The available information does not include statements from either candidate or the donors, nor does it describe how the contributions relate to campaign spending, fundraising totals or the candidates’ policy positions. It also provides no election date, polling information or other details about the state of the race.
As a result, the reported donor support offers a limited snapshot of contributions associated with the candidates, rather than a full account of campaign finances. The contribution amounts, dates and any additional context were not provided.
