Reno, NV, October 13, 2026 —

A delegation representing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) recently undertook a visit to Las Vegas, Nevada, with the express purpose of examining and understanding the city’s established business and tourism development strategies.

The impetus for this exploratory mission stems from significant upcoming developments within the UAE, most notably the construction of the Wynn Al Marjan Island resort. This project, located in Ras Al Khaimah, is poised to become the UAE’s inaugural casino resort. Recognizing the multifaceted nature of tourism and entertainment hubs, the UAE delegation sought to draw upon Las Vegas’s extensive experience in developing and managing such large-scale ventures.

During their visit, the delegation focused on learning from Las Vegas’s decades of expertise in areas crucial to resort and entertainment destination success. This includes strategies for attracting international visitors, developing robust tourism infrastructure, managing diverse entertainment offerings, and fostering business growth in a competitive global market.

The insights gained from Las Vegas are intended to inform and shape the strategic planning and operational frameworks for new tourism and entertainment projects within the UAE. The development of the Wynn Al Marjan Island resort represents a significant diversification effort for the region’s economy, aiming to establish Ras Al Khaimah as a premier destination for integrated resorts and entertainment.

Specific details regarding the duration of the visit, the exact composition of the UAE delegation, or the specific entities they met with in Las Vegas were not provided. The contractor involved in the Wynn Al Marjan Island development was also not specified in the information available.
