HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — September 16, 2026 — Author and medical oncologist Manh Dang, MD, has received the Literary Titan Gold Book Award for The Mountain Beyond: The Well and the Living Water, a true story of faith, medical missions, humanitarian service, and an extraordinary journey to a remote mountain in Kenya.

Published in August 2026, The Mountain Beyond chronicles years of Christian mission work among the Pokot people on Mount Paka in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. The story follows missionary Teresa June Estes, a couple of churches, Water Mission, and volunteers whose efforts brought clean water, medical care, education, Christian ministry, and other forms of assistance to the remote community.
